Consumer Price Index & Inflation

The Consumer Price Indexes (CPI) program produces monthly data on changes in the prices paid by urban consumers for a representative basket of goods and services.

Data series from the CPI program include CU series (“all urban consumers”), SU series (“all urban consumers - chained”), CW series (“urban wage earners”), AP series (“average price data”), and LI series (“department store inventory price index”).
